Associate Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Sales

Amanda Rider was promoted to her current position, Associate Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Sales in January 2024. She originally rejoined the Liberty Athletics department in August 2016, assuming the role of Assistant Director for University Events and was promoted to the position of Director of Ticket Operations in May 2018, to Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Operations in February 2020, and then to Associate Athletic Director for Ticket Operations in June 2023.
In her current role at Liberty, her responsibilities include coordinating all ticket operations for all home regular season ticketed NCAA events for football and men’s basketball. Rider also coordinates away game and postseason ticket operations for all NCAA sports, manages contracts and data of systems including Paciolan, FEVO, Ballena, SeatGeek, and more. She serves as the primary liaison in the ticket office to the Development Office and Flames Club. In addition to Liberty Athletics, she also serves as the primary ticket office liaison for various University and department-wide projects such as Homecoming. Rider also oversees the outbound ticket sales team whose responsibility it is to sell season, group, and individual game tickets for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
Rider has been an active member of the National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales and Operations (NAATSO) since 2016. In June 2019, Rider was selected as one of the three newest board members for the National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales and Operations (NAATSO). She currently is serving as the NAATSO Association President during the 2023-24 school year. She is also a member of the Women Leaders in College Sports organization as well as INTIX.
She graduated from Liberty in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in coaching. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in sport administration in 2014, graduating with honors. The Michigan native began working in Liberty’s ticket office as a practicum student in August 2010. Rider was promoted from that position to an event assistant from 2011-2013 before finishing as a graduate assistant in 2014.
After graduation, she moved to Colorado as a missionary before moving back to Lynchburg in 2016 where she currently resides.
